INTERNATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL CORRUPTION

International pharmaceutical corruption refers to the corrupt marketing and distribution of medicine by pharmaceutical companies that leads to large negative effects on a country's health and economy. To illustrate this point I have looked at case studies of pharmaceutical corruption in varying forms in China, USA and Nigeria. In all three case studies people in power positions in the healthcare industry are jeopardizing the health of citizens in those areas for their own personal financial gain.  I have always been interested in corruption in business and the pharmaceutical industry is somewhere I had yet to explore that topic. I was also interested to explore the far reaching effects this issue has on countries and the world. I would say the main reason I choose this issue is because at the time it was a completely foreign subject to me but encompassed a lot of subjects that I am interested in so I was interested to learn about something new.
