Ms. Christie’s music class is a new course to Global this year. As part of this new music adventure is the performance. We as a global class learned how to play the ukulele, we started off very rough but got increasingly better as the year went on. We learned many songs including Imagine by John Lennon which is featured in the video, Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond, Riptide by Vance Joy, What a Wonderfull World by George David Weiss and Bob Thiele, I’m Yours by Jason Mraz, and finally, Over the Rainbow from the Wizard of OZ. We put on many performances that featured Riptide and Imagine and a few of them were even for our Cuban family. The Ukuleles definitely added an amazing and lively aspect to the every day lives of the Global class and we definitely looked forward to playing them in first period with an amazing instructor.
