I chose the topic Financing Sustainable Urban Development because I’ve always wanted to understand more about sustainability, especially within large urban areas. Though, as I researched more into the issue, I realized how many countries are not able to afford urban development, not to mention a sustainable one. For my case studies, I studied the three cities, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Dharavi in India, and finally Jinja in Uganda, to obtain a more in depth knowledge of the issue and the logic of evil in developing countries.
